Hey readers, whatcha doin'?

It's holiday and I just got back to Jakarta from Bandung. In Bandung I can't watch TV cause I don't have one in my boarding house, so when I got here I just went all out watching movies haha. This will be my first movie review post. I hope I won't spoil it out..^^'

Just yesterday i watched this movie "Merantau" on RCTI. yeah yeah i know it's old news.

I am not a big fan of local movies so at first i thought this movie won't impress me so much. But tell you what? It was way BEYOND EXPECTATION. This movie is really something. To be objective, i even think this movie deserves international appreciation since it's introducing our martial arts "silat".

The story was good, the action was great, , the background music was cool, the movie even has an implicit moral in it. Never i saw Indonesian movie this great. It was one hell of a job!(compared to those perverted movies that have been so popular nowadays --'. Trash.)

If you're Indonesian and are bored with the no-quality embarrassing local movies out there, "Merantau" is definitely the one you've been waiting for. I'd give it four stars out of five, yeah!

China may have Ip Man. But we have Merantau. Be proud Indonesian!
